Why aren't college coaches calling me?

Why do so many high school baseball players never hear from college coaches? The silence probably has less to do with talent and more to do with fit, exposure, timing and communication mistakes.

The scenario happens every day. A player sends an email to a college coach. Maybe he includes a video link, a schedule, some grades, and a short note saying he is interested in the program. Then nothing happens. No call. No text. No reply. No invitation.

The the player and the family begin to wonder:
